My coffee shop napkin sketch solved a problem CAD missed
I was stuck on a tricky floor plan layout for days, staring at my computer screen. On a break, I doodled the issue on a napkin while grabbing a drink. Suddenly, the spatial relationship clicked in a way it never did in the software. I think we get too locked into perfect lines and snaps too early in the process. That messy, quick drawing let my brain wander and find the answer. Most people in my office would call it sloppy or a waste of time. But for rough ideas, I swear by pen and anything handy. Do you ever step away from the computer to think?
