The band saw blade snapped back in March and I still check my stance every single cut
I was breaking down a bone-in pork shoulder at the shop on a Tuesday morning when the blade caught and snapped about 8 inches from my hand. I had been rushing because we had a 40 pound order due by noon and I skipped resetting the guides after switching blades earlier that week. I killed the power, pulled the piece, and spent the next hour inspecting every weld on my spare blades with a flashlight. Now I keep a piece of tape on the upper wheel housing with the date I last checked tension, and I check it every Monday before we open. Anyone else here had a blade let go, and what did you change after?
