Spent 3 hours making a habit tracker that I hate

Spent Sunday morning building this elaborate habit tracker in my bujo. Colors, icons, tiny grids for every day of the month. Looked great on Pinterest. Then Monday hits and I realize tracking 8 habits takes forever. By Wednesday I was skipping days. Finally gave up and switched to a simple list format. Took maybe 20 minutes and it actually works. Anyone else overcomplicate things then have to start over?

I started a new bullet journal spread in January with a habit tracker for drinking water and exercising. It worked great for the first 21 days, I was really proud of those little boxes filled in. Last month I was in Portland for a weekend trip and stopped by this fancy stationery store downtown. I got suckered into buying this 'premium' dotted journal for $35 because the cover looked nice and the sales girl said the paper was 120gsm.
