inHot take: I gave 'The Bear' another shot after quitting halfway through the first episode.
The table scene in Forks hits so hard. Richie's growth felt earned, not forced. You got a favorite moment from that episode?

inEveryone swears by closed loop cooling but I think it's overhyped for river jobs
Funny thing about that kind of clogging, @colemiller... most people don't realize it's not just dirt packing up. Sometimes it's a layer of old clay or roots you never even saw coming, and three hours of digging just stirs it all up. Had a buddy hit a buried drainage tile once that nobody knew was there, same kind of situation.

inJust watched a 5-year-old strip mall in Phoenix go from 90% leased to 40% in 18 months
My old spot in the plaza off 17th street got hit with a double whammy - the anchor store left when their lease ran out and the landlord wanted 40% more per square foot. They couldn't agree on terms so the whole place lost traffic for about six months before a grocery chain moved in. I learned the hard way that sometimes it's both things at once, not just one or the other.

inTIL my local library card gets me free state park passes
Did you bike in with a pizza in your backpack like @emma349 or actually try the picnic thing?

inFound out carpet remnants can sit in a warehouse for 12 years before being sold
Man I had almost the exact same thing happen @markl75. Found a roll of some 70s avocado green shag at a garage sale like 8 years ago, still wrapped and everything. Threw it in the spare room for a couple months before I even unrolled it lol. The smell was wild at first kinda like mothballs and old wood. But after a good week in the sun it actually laid down pretty nice and didn't even shed much. Definitely worth the $20 I paid for it.
