Pro tip: your future log is not a place to dump every random date you might maybe do something
I see this constantly in the bullet journal groups and it drives me a little nuts. People set up their future log in January and cram it with stuff like "maybe visit Aunt Carol in July" or "possibly run a 10k in the fall" and then by March the whole spread is useless because nothing is real yet. I did this for two years straight and my future log turned into a graveyard of maybes. Last January I switched to only logging things with an actual date attached, like my sister's wedding on June 8th or my dentist appointment, and I finally started checking that spread every week instead of skipping past it. The maybe stuff goes on a brain dump page in the back where it belongs, and honestly half of it never makes it onto a real date anyway. When I looked back at my 2023 journal, only 4 of the 23 things I wrote in the future log ever happened, and every single one of those 4 had a real date from day one. So what do you all do with the vague someday stuff, do you keep a separate page or just let it go entirely?
