Swore by my old nailer until a job in Denver last month proved me wrong.

Hey @cooper.piper, I read that old timber's uneven density can really mess with pneumatic nailers!

The week I had three clients all pay late at the same time

Man, that's rough. Three at once is brutal. When you sent those follow up emails, did you change your approach for each client? Like, was the tone different for the regular who was two days late versus the one who blew past net-30? I'm always torn between being firm and not burning a bridge.

Vent: I've switched to video clips for my stove reviews... here's why

I mean, it's wild how we all skip the basic setup sometimes and then wonder why things turn out poorly. Like with videos, just a little attention to lighting or keeping the camera still fixes so much. Maybe it's just me, but I notice this pattern with lots of simple chores now too.

Debate in my kitchen: do you really need to brown meat first?

Hold up, you're comparing two different things. Browning a tough cut of beef like chuck roast creates flavor you can't get any other way. Chicken thighs cooked in liquid are forgiving and will still taste fine. The extra pan is a pain, but for beef stew, skipping the sear is a legit shortcut that costs you a lot of taste.

My great-granddad's pocket watch died after I wound it too hard. Any chance to bring it back?

Ugh, overwinding probably snapped the old mainspring. You need a real watchmaker who can actually fabricate parts for stuff this old, not just swap batteries. That's a specialty search for "horologist" or "antique watch repair" in your area.
