Found a goldmine of cheap cosplay parts at a local thrift store in Springfield
I was at the Goodwill on Main Street yesterday, just looking for some regular clothes, when I walked past the housewares section. I saw this weird plastic vase that was shaped exactly like the shoulder armor for a character I've been wanting to do (it's a knight from a video game). It was only $2.50, and it got me looking at everything with new eyes. I spent maybe an hour there, and I found a belt that could be a sword harness, a weird curtain tassel for a fancy trim, and a metal bowl that I can cut and paint into a chest plate. I spent under $15 total. It's crazy how much stuff is just sitting there waiting to be turned into something else, you know? Has anyone else had a moment like that, where you see a normal object and your brain just goes 'that's a cosplay piece'?
