I run a small YouTube channel about local hiking trails around Austin, about 15k subs. Last Thursday a VPN company emailed me offering $800 for a 60 second mention in a video. That seems low for the audience size, but I've never done a sponsor before. Has anyone else negotiated with these big tech brands, or is it normal for the first offer to be weak?

I used to hand pitch brands, now I just send a 5 line Loom

Back in 2017 I was sending 2 page PDFs to every brand I wanted to work with. Took me an hour per pitch and I got maybe 1 reply out of 20. Last spring I switched to a quick Loom video, like 90 seconds, where I just talk about their product and show one idea. Response rate jumped to about 1 in 5. Took me so long to admit the PDFs were the problem, not the brands. Anyone else find shorter pitches work way better for them too?
