My old client meeting notes were just a napkin from a diner

I used to think remembering the details was enough, but after mixing up two projects for a guy named Dave, I bought a $12 notebook. Now I write down every single thing they say, even the weird stuff about their cat. What's the most random detail you've had to keep straight for a client?

Lol, that's a mood. I once had to remember a client's favorite brand of golf ball. For no reason.

My buddy had to learn his boss's wife's favorite flower... just in case it ever came up. He still knows it's peonies. Wild, right?

A buddy of mine had to remember a client's dog's name and its favorite treat for like two years. Never once got asked about it, but he still brings it up sometimes. Now he's got a whole notebook of useless facts about people he barely knows. It's kinda funny how we store all this random info for no payoff.
