Heard a guy at the supply house say he adds a cup of sugar to his wash water

I mean, I thought he was nuts, but he swore it slows the set on a hot day. Anyone ever actually try that trick?

Seriously? That's a new one on me. I've heard of using cold water or ice, but sugar sounds like it would just make a sticky mess. I'd be worried about attracting bugs or leaving a weird residue.

Sugar works weirdly well. It's an old trick, just rinse it off after.
