Just realized I fell for the 'utilities included' trap in Phoenix

That "shared maintenance fee" thing is so shady. I rented a spot in Mesa two years ago that listed "all utilities covered" and I was stoked until I got hit with a $75 monthly "community amenity charge" that literally just paid for someone to come mow the tiny patch of grass out front. Then in August my electric was $210 because the place had zero insulation and the AC never shut off. The landlord acted like I was crazy for being mad about it too. Now I always ask for the full lease before I even tour a place so I can read every single line for weird fees. That one line buried on page 4 is where they always hide the stuff that gets you.
