inShowerthought: Used washing machine supply lines are a ticking time bomb
Honestly, I get where you're coming from but I think the whole "ticking time bomb" thing is a bit overblown. Yeah, old rubber lines can crack, but I've seen plenty of 20 year old rubber hoses that were still fine and only got swapped because the machine died. The real issue is people not checking them at all, not the material itself. Ngl, braided steel is great and all but it's not bulletproof - I've seen those fail too from cheap manufacturing or being kinked. If you're really worried, just replace the rubber ones every 10 years and call it a day. But acting like every old hose is about to explode feels kind of fearmongery to me.

inLearned a trick for blending single-stage metallic today
Used to crank my pressure up thinking it would give better coverage, but dropping it down really did smooth out the metallic. Might have to stick with this from now on.

inA customer yelled at me for putting the motion sensor too close to the AC vent
Remember the AC might not be the ONLY thing causing air currents in that spot. Check if the homeowner has ceiling fans or maybe a window unit in another room that pulls air across the house. I had a job last year where the airflow from a bathroom exhaust fan was actually the culprit because it ran on a timer and the homeowner forgot to mention it. The motion sensor was picking up the slight temp change in the air moving past it, not a curtain or anything physical. You gotta ask about EVERYTHING that moves air in the whole place, not just the main HVAC system.

inThat $60 bag of organic frozen chicken thighs was a total flop in my slow cooker
Honestly isn't it funny how we assume pricey stuff is always better? I feel like so many premium foods are designed for fancy cooking methods not the basic stuff we actually do at home. Ngl it's one of those things where "expensive" doesn't always mean "works in a slow cooker.
