The cat book display at my sister's shop in Portland went from 30 copies to 6 in three months and nobody noticed
She had this big front table with 30 copies of the same chunky cat photo hardcover, and when I visited last weekend there were only 6 left with sun-bleached spines. She said she never sold them, she just got tired of restacking them after customers flipped through and left them face down, so she quietly moved the rest to a back bin. Is that a normal thing for shops to do, or should I be hunting for those 24 copies online?
