inThat barber school textbook had a stat about clipper burn I never saw coming
Wow, 60%? That makes me feel way better about the two months I spent convinced my clippers were personally out to get me. I was spraying that cooling stuff on like it was holy water and still walking around with angry red hands like I'd been petting a cactus. The gross part is you never think about how much hair and skin and product gunk builds up in those blades until someone tells you. So basically half the people in my class were walking around with chemically angry skin and just quietly suffering instead of, I don't know, actually cleaning their tools. Good to know we were all just nasty together.

inTIL the difference between a 90s comic fan and a modern one is wild
Yeah exactly! I once watched two guys almost fight over a misprinted X-Men cover.

inFinally gave up on that famous self help book after page 50
Girl YES. Those books are written by people who clearly haven't had to deal with real life. I actually threw a different guru book across the room once when it told me to "just choose happiness" while my car was being repo'd. Like cool, thanks, I'll just flip a switch and ignore my anxiety and my bills at the same time. They make it sound so simple but they've never had to work a double shift while their kid is home sick. It's all this detached wisdom from someone who probably meditates in a quiet room for three hours a day. Honestly I think those books work best for people who already have their life together enough to actually focus on the message.
