PSA: That AI consultant told me to feed it all my customer data...

Got burned myself last year doing exactly this. Used to think I was being too paranoid about it all but now I see it was dumb to hand over that much info without thinking it through.

Was skeptical about solar panels for 2 years until my neighbor's bill dropped by 60 bucks a month

Shows you how fast things add up, doesn't it. @lucas_price83 once you start tracking every dollar, you see how many little surprises are hiding in plain sight. Kind of makes you wonder what else we're just not noticing.

Found a weird trick for stuck brake caliper pins

Tbh I feel like I'm the poster child for the "wrong" way. Last time I tried the cold rag trick I ended up with more cracks than a sidewalk in winter and a bracket that looked like a potato chip. Ngl I just use steady heat now and hope for the best, usually works out better than my "fancy" attempts anyway. Honestly my workshop is more of a experiment graveyard than anything else, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Overheard some kid at the parts counter saying he's got a 700hp daily driver...

Nah I used to be the opposite honestly. Thought you had to push every build to the limit to make it count. But watching friends grenade their daily drivers definitely changed my mind, it's just not worth it.

That old water damage repair manual I picked up for 50 cents actually saved my basement last month

@finleythomas you're not wrong about the internet being hit or miss, but that old book didn't really "outsmart" the plumber. He just said the fix looked solid for a DIY job, not that it was better than what he does. Still, I hear you on those dusty shelves having hidden gems - I've got a 1960s car repair guide that's saved me twice on cheap fixes the YouTube videos overcomplicate.
