inPro tip: Use a wet rag to catch drywall dust when sanding
Not gonna lie, I tried this once and ended up with a soaking wet floor, plus the towel just got caked in mud that I had to scrape off the hardwood later. Maybe it's just me but the water mixing with the dust made this gross paste that was way harder to clean up than just vacuuming dry dust. Plus you gotta keep rewetting it every 15 minutes or the thing dries out and starts flapping around. Just putting a box fan in the window pointing out sucked up most of the mess for me without turning my drop cloths into laundry.

inThe switch from paper maps to phones hit me hard on a trail in Vermont
Yeah, that sounds about right. Panera bread wifi, lost in the woods. Real survivalist stuff. My phone died on a simple day hike once. Had to ask some teenagers for directions because I couldn't remember which turn I took. Felt like a total goober. Definitely made me buy a cheap compass and map for my pack after that. Not exactly Daniel Boone material over here.

inOverheard a guy on site say he uses a 12 inch knife for all his taping
Have you actually measured the mud you're losing off the sides of that big blade? I went from a 10 to a 12 for a week and my bucket emptied way faster because half the mud just falls off the edges before you even hit the wall. Plus you can't get into tight corners or around outlets without making a huge mess. I switched back to a 10 for flats and my finish is just as good without wasting so much material.
