A regular at the coffee shop changed how I see 'difficult' customers

Right? @wendy_murphy16 that's a perfect example. I always try to remember that if a request seems weird, it's usually solving a problem I can't see. Saves everyone a headache.

I was using a regular pen for my weekly spreads for like a year before a friend pointed it out

But have you tried the good ones? Those cheap highlighters bleed through everything and the ink dries out in a week. My Sharpie tank highlighters last the whole semester and don't smudge. The cheap ones just leave a waxy streak that ruins the page underneath.

Wasted $60 on a 'rare' dead mall photo book that was just blurry pictures of a food court

My buddy Frank bought a "limited edition" book of old drive-in theaters for like seventy bucks. Half the pages were just dark, grainy shots of empty parking lots you couldn't make out. He tried to get his money back but the seller ghosted him completely. It's a real shame because he was so excited to add it to his collection. Makes you really careful about trusting those fancy descriptions online now.

I cleaned the same chimney in my neighborhood twice, six months apart, and the buildup was way less the second time.

That part about the cheap wrapped logs is so real. My neighbor kept having this smoky smell in his house every time he lit a fire, and he was using that same gas station stuff. I finally talked him into just getting a cord of decent hardwood from the guy off route 9, and the difference was night and day. No more smell, and his glass doors stayed clear for once. It's wild what a difference the wood makes.

Pro tip: a talk with a bridge inspector changed how I think about wind

Man, that's such a good point. It's like how the weather on the ground is totally different from what's happening up on a mountain. We miss so much by only checking from one spot.
