inHot take: WD-40 is not the answer to everything like people claim
@colemiller, I feel your pain, I still love my can but it completely failed me on sticky pine sap too.

inTIL a $50 screen protector can wreck your art more than a cheap tablet.
chen.jade said pricey doesn't always mean better for your specific setup" - yeah that was me for years. I had this whole thing about how more expensive = better quality, especially with my art gear. But after wasting $60 on that paperfeel screen protector and seeing how much worse my brush strokes looked compared to the cheap matte one I got for $8, I get it now. The fancy one had this weird texture that made my lines catch and skip, while the cheap one just gave me consistent drag.

inThe phrase 'the customer is always right' needs to die already
Start seeing this same entitlement play out everywhere now, not just retail. Like people who scream at fast food workers because their order took 3 extra minutes, or the folks who think being a paying customer means they can treat service staff like garbage. It's like society forgot that basic human decency applies even when you're handing over your credit card. Nobody owes you a perfectly ripe avocado or a 2 minute burger just because you're spending money.

Went from hating alternate endings to craving them after hearing stuff like this.

inOverheard a guy at the camera swap meet talking about bellows repair
Better than the tape I was using" is a pretty LOW bar, don't you think? A little bit of paint goop on a Mamiya bellows seems like a patch for a camera you plan on tossing next year, not something you'd trust for real work. Unless you're shooting in a rainstorm, a tiny pinhole usually isn't the end of the world.
