The before and after on my book edges after using candle wax
I tried sealing the page edges of an old paperback with candle wax last month, and the difference is wild. Before, the pages were fraying at the bottom after one read on my commute through Portland. After a thin coat rubbed in with a cloth, the edges stay clean and the book still opens flat. Has anyone else tried this trick on hardcovers, or did I just get lucky with the paper type?
