inThat guy at REI in Phoenix who swore by his $200 camp pillow
Yeah ask him. Honestly though, my back hurts just thinking about sleeping on the ground. I’d probably spend $200 on a pillow and still wake up with a neck cramp from sleeping weird on it.

inAppreciation post: Those cheap birch plywood drawer boxes I was dead set against
Oh man, tell me about it! I was the same way with those cheap laminate countertops, thought they were the devil's work until I put them in my own rental property out of desperation. Turns out they're actually way more forgiving when you accidentally drop a cast iron skillet on them, unlike my poor granite that chipped on day two. I guess sometimes being stubborn about "real materials" just means you're making things harder for yourself, not better. Live and learn, right?

inA customer tried to return a clearly used and dirty garden hose at my hardware store
Oof, 47 days and covered in mud? That's a big yikes from me.

inRemember when everyone swore by those old cast iron anvils from the Fisher plant?
My upstairs neighbors have a new puppy and it's a tiny tornado. I get it now...

inRant: The pork bellies from our main supplier went from perfect to flabby in just three months.
That's wild they changed the feed that fast. Three months is no time at all to see such a drop. Flabby fat that tears during skinning is a total deal breaker, ruins the whole product. You can't work with that. Makes you wonder what else they cut corners on. Hope you find a better supplier soon, that sounds like a nightmare to deal with.
