Hydraulic elevator vs MRL - MRL is way easier to service in my experience
I spent 8 years working on hydraulic elevators and switched to MRLs about 3 years ago. The difference is night and day when you gotta swap out a valve or clean filters. No more crawling into a cramped pit or dealing with oil leaks that get everywhere. MRLs just have fewer parts that can go wrong and the controller is right there in the machine room. Anyone else made the switch and found it smoother?

Oh man, I was totally team hydraulic until last year when I had to fix an MRL for the first time. Now I get why people say it's easier, that machine space access alone sold me.

@kim.stella you nailed it with the machine room access. That open pit makes everything so much simpler when you need to work on it. Still miss the smooth ride of hydraulics sometimes though.
