My friend told me my cat book setup was too precious and she was right
I had this big display of cat coffee table books on a special stand in my living room, all fanned out perfect like a store window. My friend came over about 6 months ago and said it looked like I was trying to sell them, not enjoy them. She said nobody wants to flip through a book that's arranged like a museum piece. So I changed it up, I started stacking them messy on a low shelf near the couch with a little cat hair on top (you know, authentic). Now people actually grab them and we spend an hour laughing at the silly cat photos together. It sounds dumb but her one comment totally shifted how I think about sharing my collection. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you rethink your whole setup?
