A friend who runs a 2k-sub channel told me she makes more from 40 true fans than 2,000 casual views, and I keep thinking about it
We grabbed coffee in Minneapolis a couple weeks ago and she pulled up her numbers on her phone. She said, quote, "I stopped chasing views and started emailing the same 40 people every Friday." I always assumed you needed a huge audience before money showed up, but she's pulling in around $900 a month from that small group through a paid newsletter and a Discord. It made me rethink how I look at my own channel, like maybe I've been counting the wrong thing this whole time. Curious if anyone here has made that shift from chasing reach to going deep with a small group, and what actually changed for you?
