DAE use the 3-minute rule to batch content and actually stick to it?
I used to sit at my desk for hours trying to film and edit one video a day, and by Friday I was fried. So a buddy in Austin who runs a fishing channel told me to try what he calls the 3-minute rule. The idea is simple, you set a timer for 3 minutes and you just hit record on whatever comes out of your mouth about one idea. No script, no re-takes, no fixing your hair. If the timer goes off and you didn't finish the thought, you keep going for another 3 minutes max. I tried it on a Tuesday and banged out 11 clips in 40 minutes, which normally would have taken me 3 hours. Then I dump them all into a free editor and trim the junk. My uploads went from 3 a week to 10, and my watch time went up because the clips feel less polished and more real. Only catch is you have to actually stop at the timer or you'll keep yapping. Has anyone else tried a time box like this for filming, or do you just wait for the mood to hit?
