inBinging Buffy in my college dorm started it all back in 2002
I can't disagree more with the idea that watching 8 episodes in one night was some kind of golden age. I was there too, renting DVDs from Blockbuster, and I remember the frustration of having to get up and change discs. But you know what else I remember? Actually having to wait a week between episodes. That built anticipation. It made each episode feel like an event. Binge watching turns shows into background noise you can half pay attention to while scrolling your phone. The old system made you sit and pay attention.

inIt took me 3 years to realize my camera lens was smudged
Nah, that smudge probably added character to your photos.

inSpent $800 on a fancy drafting tablet and I'm not convinced it's better than my old setup.
Did that article mention how some of the old machines had that satisfying mechanical action when you moved the arms around? I heard a talk where an architect said drafting software actually slows you down early in the design phase because you're fighting the interface. There's something to be said for tools that get out of your way completely.

inSaw a crew in Denver using mesh tape on inside corners and cringed hard
Yo did you ever read that old Journal of Light Construction article about mesh vs paper? They tested a bunch of corners and the mesh basically popped every time when the framing dried out. I think they said something about how paper actually bonds into the mud better on tight angles.

inJust hit 100 days straight in my bullet journal and I am shocked I actually stuck with it
The disappointed roommate plants hit home. I think that's really about how we personify our own neglect and then feel guilty about it, which is basically the whole human experience in a nutshell. Same thing happens with that old gym bag in the corner of my closet that I keep meaning to donate but instead just eye it suspiciously every morning. The full moon Monday thing is just a cosmic excuse for what is probably a caffeine crash and a bad email from your boss. We all need these little patterns to make sense of the chaos, even if the chaos is just forgetting to water some basil.
