Looking for a prepaid electric company in TX (no massive deposits plz)

I've been using Now Power for about six months and it's been pretty smooth. The daily text alerts showing my balance are super helpful for budgeting. Definitely beats dropping half a paycheck just to get the AC running.

I was cutting laminate planks wrong for a decade until a job in Tempe

Honestly I doubt it was that big a deal. A miter saw gets the job done, maybe a little slower. I've seen guys use utility knives, jigsaws, even circular saws for laminate. As long as the cut fits under the baseboard, who cares? You probably didn't waste hundreds of hours, maybe a few minutes here and there over the years. The important part is the floor looks good when you're done, not how you got there.

I finally understood the hype around comic conventions after my first one in Chicago

That "welcome to the family" moment is the best part! It really is about finding your people. The social side feels huge now because the internet lets us connect first, so meeting in person is like the big party after all the chatting online. Twenty years ago you were just a fan in your town, but now you show up and already have a crew.

I was rewatching 'The Shawshank Red Redemption' for the 10th time and had a totally different idea for the ending.

Man, that's a heavy thought after a flooded apartment! Honestly, your version is probably the 'better' ending, but I'm a total sucker for the payoff. I need to see Red's face on that beach to feel like my own parole was approved.

My grandma's pie crust recipe totally failed on me last Sunday

Ugh, that's the real truth right there. I tried making biscuits once and the recipe just said "mix until it comes together." Mine was a greasy mess because the butter melted. Chilling the dough is the only fix when that happens. You have to learn from the fails before the vague advice makes any sense. What were you trying to make?
