Heard a kid at Micro Center tell his friend you can download more RAM

There's always been this old joke about downloading RAM, but it's funny how some folks take it literally. The idea probably started as a prank on tech forums years ago, and now kids pass it around without realizing it's a joke. Your buddy at least had the right idea - just save up and buy the real hardware. Those scam download sites usually just install malware anyway, which actually slows your computer down even more.

Was dead set against flood coolant for years, finally caved

Wait, did you ever have that one friend who swore by something for years and you just couldn't get on board? Like my buddy Dave with his cast iron skillet... he'd talk about it every time we grilled. I kept saying nah, I'm good with non-stick. Then one day I finally gave it a shot and now I see why he wouldn't shut up about it. Sometimes you just gotta see for yourself even if everyone's telling you the same thing.

Shoutout to my first broker, I just hit 15 years with the same account

like looking at a different world" is right lol. I dug up my old statements from 2009 too and it was wild seeing that $9.99 per trade fee on a $500 buy in. Now that same broker charges nothing for most trades and has way better research tools. Honestly if your broker hasn't screwed you over with hidden fees or terrible customer service, sticking with them makes sense. Just make sure you're not missing out on better features or lower costs at other places though. I've kept mine because the account history and tax docs are all in one spot which saves me headaches at tax time.

That job at the Marriott downtown almost cost me my crew

I've had that exact same problem with a different supplier's rolls a few years back. What finally worked for me was checking the lot numbers before the glue even touched the floor and I started making the supplier send me a sample of the batch before I'd accept delivery. Saved me a ton of headaches and money once I got into that habit.

Thought the hype around those musty old library discard bins was overblown until I pulled a 1923 field guide to Pacific Northwest mushrooms that had actual pressed specimens inside.

Oh man, I once found an old beat-up cookbook with a handwritten recipe tucked inside, pretty cool stuff.
