I thought my Paterson tank was fine until I tried a steel reel at a shop in Austin last week
Loading 120 film on stainless reels after 6 months of fighting plastic ones was the difference between 3 ruined rolls and zero, and honestly the $12 I paid at the counter was the best money I've spent on this hobby, so has anyone else made that switch or am I late to this?
What was it about the steel reel that made the difference for you? Was it the loading action itself, or did the 120 backing paper give you trouble on the plastic ones? I've been on the fence about switching since my plastic reels seem to jam up right at the end of the roll every time. Curious if you noticed less of that with the steel.
