Hit 1000 lines on my very first Python script and it was completely useless

Just realized torque wrenches from Snap-on and Harbor Freight give totally different readings after 2 years of shop use

Bought a cheap clicker from Harbor Freight for $60 back in 2021 for smaller jobs around the hangar. Last week I borrowed a Snap-on from a coworker to torque some control rod bolts on a Cessna 172 and noticed it clicked way sooner than my usual wrench. Am I the only one who's seen this kind of drift between budget and pro torque tools over time?

Thought those self-watering mesh pots would be perfect for my cherry tomatoes. After 3 weeks the roots grew through and snapped when I tried to move them. Anybody else have bad luck with those fabric or mesh grow bags?

Watching guys skip the bull float on a hot day makes me want to scream

I saw a crew in Tempe last Tuesday try to go straight from screeding to a steel trowel because it was 95 degrees and they were in a rush. The slab looked like a washboard by 3 PM. You HAVE to bull float, especially in heat, to push the aggregate down and get that flat cream layer on top. Skipping it means you're fighting the mix the whole time and the finish will never be right. How many times do we have to see this before people learn?

I always thought it would have been stronger if Bruce Wayne actually died in the bomb blast at the end... a real sacrifice for the city. The reveal that he and Selina were in Italy felt like a cop-out to me, like they couldn't commit to the tragedy. It would have taken the story maybe five more minutes to show Alfred mourning at a real grave, and then a final shot of the Bat-signal being repaired as a symbol of hope passing to others. Anyone else have a Nolan ending they'd rewrite?

I got my AI to write better code by asking it to 'think out loud' first

I was working on a Python script last week and my usual prompts kept giving me buggy results. After three tries, I changed my approach and typed 'Explain your reasoning step by step before writing the code.' The AI then wrote a short plan and the final script worked perfectly on the first run. It added maybe 30 seconds to the process but saved me an hour of debugging. I've used this trick for a few days now and it's made a huge difference. Has anyone else tried getting an AI to show its work like this?
