Found out one cargo ship can put out as much sulfur as 50 million cars, and I can't get it out of my head
Saw that number in a writeup from a shipping blog about the 2020 fuel rules, and it made me realize most of my personal footprint math is a rounding error next to how goods move. I keep doing the reusable bag thing while a single vessel on its way to Long Beach blows past a whole city's pollution. Is anyone here actually working on freight and shipping stuff, or are we all just sorting our recycling?
