Appreciation post: my $140 toner and probe kit saved me from a three hour attic crawl

I read somewhere that a lot of toner kits fail because people don't test the batteries first, and honestly that's been my luck with cheap ones. The cheap set I had would only work if the cable was within three feet of me, which is useless for anything real. The $140 price tag stings but that one time it saves you from roasting in an attic, it's basically paid for itself. I had a buddy who tried to skip the toner and just guessed at a run, ended up cutting three different lines before he found the right one. That's a lot more expensive than a decent probe kit in my book.

A comment about star trails changed my whole editing flow

Honestly, noise reduction keeps the night sky looking dreamy, not always smudgy.

Shoutout to the old school broker who taught me lease abstracts arent just paperwork

Three months ago I was a hardcore bullet-journal snob, but now I just use a random scrap of paper.

An old master electrician told me to stop using wire nuts on stranded wire. Changed everything.

Honestly, you'll probably start seeing those service calls right around the same time that guy's warranty runs out, just to keep it interesting. Ngl, I'd start checking my own work now before your attic turns into a copper graveyard.

Watching a big excavator dig a pond in my hometown made me rethink our cutterhead setup

That "catch on fire" comment has me wondering if any of y'all have tried a simple sprinkler head instead of a pressure setup.
