inThe weirdest day I ever had fixing PCs started with a pickle jar
Lol okay but is it really that serious though? Like you're driving out to someone's house and a third of the time they fix it before you even get there. That's just part of the gig, right? I mean 50 trips saved is cool and all but it's not like you were driving cross country for each one. Probably saved you what, like an hour total over the whole year?

inTook 3 hours to figure out why my chicken kept coming out dry
Oh boy, "turns out 360°F for 18 minutes does the trick way better." I feel like that should be stitched on a kitchen towel somewhere. I made the same mistake for years thinking my oven was just broken or I had bad luck. Turns out I was just roasting my chicken into shoe leather at 425. Once I dropped the temp and let it rest, things really turned around. It's funny how we think harder and faster always wins, but sometimes slow and steady is the real hero. Live and learn, I guess.

inUsed to scan my negatives with a $20 flatbed from Goodwill for 2 years, now I'm using a proper Plustek and actually seeing the grain in my photos
Maybe it's just me but sometimes a crappy scanner hides how grainy your film actually is.

inPSA: A bad ground in the tail cone took me 4 hours to find
Wait, you had a nut plate that was just spinning in the tail cone? That's insane. I honestly don't know how you kept your cool for a whole afternoon with that strobe cutting out, @lisa820. I would have been pulling my hair out after the first hour of checking the power supply. It's always the dumbest stuff that gets you, like a loose nut plate. I bet you felt pretty dumb for not checking the grounds first, but hey, we've all been there.

inBroke a tile cutter blade doing a bathroom floor last Tuesday
Oiling the wheel is smart @skylerp20. I started doing that after warping a bowl I spent hours on. The oil keeps the clay from sticking too hard to the wheel. Porcelain is a pain because it's so thirsty. I double score every time now no exceptions. The extra minute of work saves you from having to start all over when it separates in the kiln.
