A kite festival in Lincoln taught me to look up more, and now I've got 43 cloud pics on my phone
I was at the kite festival in Lincoln last Saturday and the sky had these wild rippled clouds behind the kites, so I started snapping pics and now I can't stop checking the sky every morning on my walk, has anyone else gotten hooked like this?
43 pics is nothing, my aunt has like 200 and she names them. But here's the thing nobody talks about, clouds are basically a free mood tracker. I started taking one pic of the sky every morning at the same spot near my bus stop and after a month I could look back and tell which days I felt like garbage because I barely looked up at all. The rippled ones you saw in Lincoln are called altocumulus, they show up before a weather change, so you basically taught yourself to read the sky without meaning to. That's the part that gets people hooked, it stops being about pretty pics and starts being about noticing stuff you walked past for years.
