Watched my buddy's 48 hour fridge loaf turn into a brick too.

Honestly a week is way too short to say compost tea is what fixed things. Plants do weird stuff all the time, and ficus drop leaves from moving it, temp swings, watering changes, you name it. Unless you had a control plant sitting right next to it getting the same care and tap water, you can't really credit the tea. I've played with brews before and the results were always muddy, sometimes stuff perks up, sometimes nothing happens, and I could never pin it on the tea itself. People swear by it but a lot of that seems like they just started paying closer attention to their plants. Not saying it's useless, just that calling it a fix after one week feels like a stretch.

You ever think maybe that story got a little better each time it was told? I've seen good operators, but a quarter inch blind sounds like a stretch.
