inI always thought linen thread was just for show until I saw a 200 year old binding
That "thread outlives the skin" line says it all about modern materials.

inRant: People keep using the wrong salt for their kimchi and it's ruining the batch
Okay but "ruining the batch" feels a bit dramatic. I've used iodized salt in a pinch and my kimchi turned out fine, maybe a little slower to ferment. That whole crock going bad in a week sounds like a storage temp issue, not just the salt. People have been making this stuff for centuries with whatever salt they had.

inI used to think a strong password was enough, but after my neighbor got hit I see it's just the start
Honestly saw a tech article that called password reuse the "original sin" of online security. Tbh it made it click for me, because one breach can expose your whole digital life if you repeat passwords. Ngl, using a manager felt like a chore at first, but now it's just automatic.

inChanged my mind after my boss gave the same talk twice
Yeah, brains totally patch things together. I had a friend who swore we saw a movie together, but he described the whole plot wrong. Turns out he mixed up two different films from the same year. I just gently showed him the trailers on my phone and he was like, "Oh wow, you're right." Sometimes a little outside proof helps sort the memory glitch.
