inA client in Savannah told me my climbing line was frayed in a spot I never check...
Ever think a quick visual check is enough? I used to, until a ground guy pointed out a tiny cut I'd missed for weeks. Now I run my whole hand down the line every single time.

inI keep seeing people skip the rounding step on book spines and it drives me nuts
Is it really that big of a deal though? I've used plenty of flat spine notebooks and they open just fine for me. Maybe it only matters if you're really rough on your books. Feels like a lot of extra work for something most people won't even notice.

inI tried packing for a week in Denver with just a 28 liter backpack
Try compression socks next time, they're a game changer.

inPSA: I just realized my 'packing cube system' was making my bag heavier
That part about weighing the empty cubes really hits home. I did the same thing and realized half my packing list was just the containers. It's not just the weight, it's the false sense of organization. You cram stuff in to make the cube zip, so you're not actually saving space. I switched to simple rubber bands for rolled clothes and a plastic grocery bag for dirty laundry. The weight difference on my shoulders after a long travel day is huge.
