Just realized I wasted $300 on a fancy chef's knife set

Bought a 8-piece set last year thinking it would up my game, but I only use one knife now - a $40 Victorinox. Anyone else ditch their expensive knife set after getting a single workhorse?

Gotta admit, I used to be one of those people who thought you needed a whole block of fancy knives to be a "real cook". Bought a big name set a few years back because it looked impressive on the counter. Then I got a cheap Victorinox as a gift and pretty much stopped touching the others. It's kind of embarrassing how much money I spent to learn that one decent knife does everything you need. Now the rest just sit there looking pretty while I slice everything with my $40 workhorse.
