inHit 500 compressor replacements and finally stopped dreading them
Wait, @avery_roberts67, have you tried keeping a little notebook or a note in your phone for each brand? I've been doing this for about 15 years now and I hit around 300-400 a year some years, but it's ALL different stuff. Trust me, the wiring color thing is a PAIN. What I do is when I get a new unit that's weird, I snap a picture of the wiring diagram with my phone before I even touch anything. Then I jot down where the common cap terminal is on that model. After a while you start seeing patterns even across different brands, like Goodman and Amana are basically the same guts. It takes maybe 3 or 4 times doing the same off brand before it clicks and you're flying through it. So yeah, after 500 you're probably just fast on everything, but having a little system for the weird ones saves you a TON of headache.

3 AM the other night I spent an hour drawing the seam on a single sock. @the_river you're totally right about getting lost in the small stuff, I mean it's not like anyone's gonna zoom in on a button but my brain insisted.

inHit 50 books read this year and it totally snuck up on me
14 romance novels in there sounds like my speed, just make sure you're not sacrificing sleep to hit that number.

inOld timer swore by ATF and acetone as penetrating oil, I laughed. Then I tried it.
Three ruined garage shirts and two busted spray nozzles later I still swear by it.

That garbage is the worst, been there myself. @ellis.nina knows the pain of dealing with that green crust all over the pins.
