inMy commute to the office in Denver used to take exactly 23 minutes, now it's 17 minutes on the same route.
Actually cities don't retime lights that often, it's a big process. They probably just changed the sensor loops in the pavement or something small like that.

inFound my great-grandma's sewing box from the 1940s in the attic
Oh wow, that's so cool. My grandpa's old pocket watch does the same thing for me. Just holding it makes you feel that connection.

inHot take: I thought those new foam-backed carpets were a total gimmick for a solid year.
You got lucky with that one install. Most foam-backed stuff I've seen still telegraphs seams like crazy after a few months.

inSerious question, my tenant's AC unit died in the middle of July
That's a landlord's basic job (and cost) to handle, not the tenant's.

inMy partner, who's a potter, watched me work and asked why I always anneal for a full 24 hours. They said 'clay just needs to dry, but you're baking out stress, right? Could you do it slower and cooler?' It got me thinking about our shop's default schedule.
Honestly @alexj99 has a point, but who cares if you're 30? If the shirt still fits and you like the band, wear it.
