inRant: I hit 50 bucks for a full cosplay and people keep saying it's impossible
Right? I totally get that patchwork quilt look, it's so easy to mess up. I tried making a bag from old corduroy pants and it just came out lumpy and weird. The trick I found is you gotta cut bigger pieces from similar spots, like using whole back pockets or full thigh sections. Otherwise it just looks like a craft project gone wrong lol.

inI chose a cheap apartment in Chiang Mai over a beach hut in Bali for my first month
That trade-off is real. One thing people forget is how the choice changes your daily habits. In a city spot, you end up walking to markets and cafes, meeting other remote workers by accident. On the beach, your whole routine revolves around that one view, and it can get lonely fast. The city forces a kind of structure that actually helps new projects take off.

inDAE have a shed that turned into a total mouse hotel?
Steel wool is a classic move, but doesn't it just get pushed out or rust into a mess after a season? What do you do about the bigger gaps around the door or where the shed meets the foundation, stuff a whole Brillo pad in there?

inI dropped $200 on a fancy automatic coop door and it's been nothing but trouble
Ever wonder if we're just adding tech for the sake of it? My neighbor spent a small fortune on a fancy smart lock that would randomly decide to not recognize his phone. He finally swapped it for a regular keyed deadbolt and the peace of mind is huge. It feels like some of this stuff is a solution looking for a problem that was already solved.

inMy dive partner in Seattle told me to always pack an extra O-ring in my drysuit pocket, and last month it saved a job.
Wrist seal on his left side just gave out at 80 feet. Cold water hit him like a truck and the suit started to flood fast. He said getting that spare ring on with numb fingers was the hardest thing he's ever done. That little piece of rubber is the only reason he made it back to the boat instead of calling for a rescue. It turned a total suit failure into just a really bad, cold dive. His story made me buy a spare for every seal I have.
