inMy great-grandma's cameo brooch just fell apart in my hands
Oh man, that's so sad, I totally get why you're heartbroken. I used to be super against changing any original part on old family stuff, like it was a crime. But my view totally shifted after my mom's locket broke. A good jeweler fixed it so it could actually be worn again without fear, and honestly, seeing it used feels way more respectful than keeping it broken in a box forever. That repair cost sounds pretty normal for making it safe to wear, and a new clasp means you can actually enjoy it without worrying it'll fall apart.

@emmasingh, that drywalled intercom is exactly why we scan walls now!

Wait, are you saying growth is bad? That sounds crazy to me. How else do we get better jobs or fix problems without growing? I just can't see a world where staying the same is the answer.

inAppreciation post: I thought the zero commission hype was just a marketing trap, but after tracking my trades for 3 months, my costs were actually 15% lower with the new platform.
It's wild how we get used to paying a certain amount for things. You just accept the price creep until you finally shop around, and then the savings feel like a mistake. That shock is basically our normal meter getting reset.

inTIL my friend's game group has a 15-page charter document for their Gloomhaven campaign.
My friend's group had a three hour debate over whether you could reroll a natural one in a co-op game. It was like milesh89's Monopoly hotel thing, just pure chaos. They never wrote anything down, they just get mad and then order pizza.
