Went to the art museum downtown and the security guard's uniform was a whole mood

I was at the city art museum yesterday, and I couldn't stop staring at the guard's jacket. It was this deep green wool blend with these subtle, raised seams that looked like brushstrokes. Honestly, it had more design thought than half the stuff on the runway. It made me think about how uniforms could be functional art, blending into a space while still having a point of view. I spent a good 20 minutes just sketching the cut of the shoulders in my notebook. Has anyone else found unexpected design inspiration in really ordinary places like that?

That's a cool way to look at it. I notice stuff like that on my routes, like how a mail carrier's bag is designed to be tough but also easy to carry all day. You start seeing the smart choices in everyday gear. What was the best detail on that jacket?

Ever notice how the cuffs on those jackets are cut? They're a bit longer in the back so when you're leaning forward on the bike, your wrists are still covered. Stops the cold air from going right up your sleeve.
