Heard a librarian say 'endings are just new beginnings for the characters' and it clicked for alternate versions

I was at the downtown public library last Saturday killing time before a dentist appointment. Overheard this older librarian talking to a kid about a book they finished. She said that line about endings being new beginnings. It got me thinking about how when I rewrite movie endings I always focus on what would be different for the plot, not the characters themselves. Like what if in The Matrix, Neo just walked away and went back to his normal life? Would he be happier? That feels like a whole different kind of alternate ending to explore. Anybody else think about character happiness instead of just plot twists?

I finally got a decent shot of a roll cloud after my friend said my old ones looked like a blurry blanket.

He told me to stop using my phone's auto mode and lock the focus on the horizon. Took this one yesterday over the lake and you can actually see the layers. Anyone know a good way to judge how fast a shelf cloud is moving?

My seam roller handle snapped clean off during a glue-down job yesterday

I was putting pressure on a seam in a big office space, maybe 500 square feet of commercial carpet. The plastic handle just gave way, right at the base where it connects to the roller. I had to finish the job by holding the metal roller itself, which was a pain and slowed me down a lot. Has anyone found a heavy-duty roller that can take real force without breaking?

I was sure spray paint was the only way to get a good metal finish on armor

Tried it on my Mandalorian chest piece and it looked cheap, but my friend in Phoenix showed me how to use Rub 'n Buff wax over a base coat and it looks like real steel for about $8. Has anyone else found a better cheap trick for metal effects?
