inIs it worth spending $400 on a high-end drafting stool or is a $60 one good enough?
Totally feel you man, the whole couch ergo spiral hits different after a long day in a chair.

inThe weird echoing sound in the old Northgate food court finally made me realize why I keep going back to dead malls.
I’ve been in that EXACT spot at Northgate. The tile pattern near the old food court still has that weird brown and orange swirl right where the fountain base used to be. Grab a pretzel at the Auntie Anne’s kiosk two floors down next time, it hits different after a walk through the empty halls. Those echoes mess with your head, but they’re the only way to keep those old memories from fading. Just watch out for the loose floor tile by the escalators, it catches your heel every time.

inHeard my manager say "we don't pay for loyalty" and it hit me different
47 hours is nothing in the grand scheme of things. People act like showing up and doing the bare minimum is some kind of victory, but real careers are built on going the extra mile. That 50 cent raise is probably just the start if you keep pushing.

inTook me 45 minutes to peel 3 pounds of garlic for a lentil soup
Paying a small upfront cost for pre-prepped stuff often saves way more time and frustration than the manual labor, it's like a hidden rule of cooking that nobody talks about. Have you tried just smashing the cloves with the flat side of a knife to pop the skins off faster?
