Had to choose between bagging floppy comics or getting top loaders
I found a stack of 90s Spider-Man at a garage sale in Austin for 50 cents each. I had to pick between buying 30 bags and boards or just 5 top loaders for the same $15. I went with the bags and boarded all of them, but now I'm kicking myself because a few look like they might be worth grading. Has anyone here regretted going cheap on storage just to cover more issues?

Yeah, nothing says "investment" like a bag that's already splitting.

Bags splitting is the worst, I've had that happen with older storage bags where the plastic gets brittle and starts cracking right along the spine. You're better off spending a little extra on the good archival bags that actually hold up over time, especially if you're in a humid climate like Austin where heat and moisture wreck everything faster. Those 5 top loaders would have protected your key issues way better than a whole stack of bags that might not even last another year. Sometimes you gotta be picky and only bag the ones that really matter instead of trying to cover everything at once.
