Yeah, that math hits different when you see it written out.

inLost $500 on a 'no fee' broker that just vanished
Man, that's brutal. I mean, it feels like this stuff is everywhere now, not just with brokers. You order some weird gadget from an online ad or sign up for a service with a flashy website, and poof, it's just gone with your money. It's getting harder to tell what's real. I always try to dig for real user reviews outside the company's own site now, but even that isn't a sure thing.

inThe day I finally understood why my old boss was so picky about wire pulling
Yeah, that's how you get callbacks years later. My trick is a little silicone spray on the wire before the pull, not a ton, just a quick shot. Makes it slide through like butter, especially in those packed stud bays. I keep a can in my bag just for that. It stops you from having to muscle it and cause those sharp bends.

inA deck ledger board pulled away from the house on a job last Tuesday
Exactly! It's like how good boots keep your feet dry by letting sweat out, not just by being waterproof.

inUpdate: I spent $300 on a coding bootcamp video series that was way too hard
Which bootcamp was it? I've seen a few that rush through the basics way too fast. What part of the web app project made you feel stuck?
