inTIL a shortcut hiding wires behind baseboards, customer in Phoenix showed me
Oh man, that "just tuck it under the baseboard" trick is a lifesaver. I had a job in a old house in Tucson where the trim was already loose in spots, so the homeowner showed me the same thing. I just pried it up a little with a flat bar, ran the Cat5e right behind it, and tapped it back down. Worked like a charm for the whole living room, no holes in the drywall or anything.

inI finally had a day where nothing went wrong in the shop
Did you find yourself checking the calendar to make sure it wasn't like April Fool's day or something? lol I swear I'd be waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire time. My last unicorn day ended when a customer came back screaming because the paint hadn't fully cured and they'd leaned a bicycle against it. What did you do with all that leftover time anyway, just sit there and wait for something to catch fire?

inI finally debated my old foreman over miter saw stands vs job site tables and he still won't talk to me after 3 years
Man, three years over a saw stand argument? That's a lot of silence over some metal legs and plywood. I get it, sloped driveways suck for table wobble, but if your foreman can't let that go maybe he just needed an excuse to stop talking. Folding stands do save the back though. I'd rather have a twitchy cut than throw my spine out hauling a 4x8 sheet of plywood around. Sounds like the real problem ain't the stand, it's him holding a grudge like it's a second job.

inJust realized my fuel pump rebuilds keep failing at 50,000 miles exactly
That bit about the aftermarket seal kits not holding up is something I see everywhere now. It's like the stuff we buy at the auto parts store is just made with thinner materials than the factory parts, period. Same thing happens with my kitchen faucet washers and lawn mower blades - they look the same but they just wear out faster.
