Update: I switched from a bone folder to a Teflon folder for my leather work

Everyone says bone is the only proper tool, but after six months, my leather is smoother and my hands don't ache. The Teflon glides without catching the grain. Has anyone else made a switch they were told not to?

TIL my friend's game group has a 15-page charter document for their Gloomhaven campaign.

They spent 3 hours debating rule arbitration procedures, which made me realize some of us take the 'geek' part of board game geek way more seriously than others, has your group ever gotten that formal about a game?

Our book club in Austin spent three meetings arguing about the ending of The Goldfinch

We read Donna Tartt's book last fall, and the debate got so heated that our group of 12 split into two camps. One side felt Theo's final choice was hopeful, while the other called it a total cop-out. Has your club ever been that divided over a book's last pages?

Finally tried that 'coffee ground' trick for hiding dents in cherry wood and it actually worked on a 1920s sideboard I was ready to write off.

I was super skeptical because it sounded like a kitchen hack, but after mixing some fine grounds with a dab of shellac and working it into the grain, the color match was perfect and the client couldn't even spot the repair... has anyone else had luck with weird household items for touch-ups?
