Our book club in Austin spent three meetings arguing about the ending of The Goldfinch

We read Donna Tartt's book last fall, and the debate got so heated that our group of 12 split into two camps. One side felt Theo's final choice was hopeful, while the other called it a total cop-out. Has your club ever been that divided over a book's last pages?

Sounds like your group really got into it. Splitting into two camps is a pretty serious book club outcome.

We had to schedule a separate mediation meeting just for the spoiler policy. It got that bad.
