Hot take: your home router is probably the weakest link in your whole setup
Last week, my friend in Austin got his smart home devices hacked because he never changed the default password on his router. The attackers got in and messed with his lights and thermostat. I mean, it's 2024 and people still use 'admin' and 'password'. I check my router settings every month now, and you should too. Has anyone else had to deal with something like that?
