Door track got so gummed up it threw the whole car out of level

Hit up your local hardware store for a can of WD-40 Specialist Degreaser. Let it soak for 5 minutes then hit that track with a stiff nylon brush. I've had to pull loose change and broken matches out of tracks before, so I keep a cheap putty knife in my bag just for this now.

A trick for old door dings I learned from a guy in Chicago

Yeah that heat trick is a game changer for sure. @rivera.keith was spot on about simple physics. Cold metal is stiff and fights back, but warm it up a bit and it gets more flexible, kind of like how a frozen hose is hard to bend. I've seen guys use a heat gun on low too, but you gotta be careful not to cook the paint. The hair dryer trick works perfect for those sharp edges because the metal can actually deform without cracking the clear coat. Once the tab pops off and the metal cools, it holds its new shape way better.

Heard a meteorologist say lenticular clouds mean stable air, not rain

It's like the one time I realized that "common sense" is usually just stuff we learned wrong and never questioned. You hear something like "lenticular clouds = bad weather" from some rando and it just sticks until a real expert casually drops the truth. Makes you wonder how many other little "facts" are just floating around in our heads totally backwards.

Hit 100 pounds of pulled pork from one slow cooker this weekend

Wait, you fit 12 pounds in a 10 quart slow cooker? I used to think bigger cuts like that would never cook right in a standard size, but this kinda proves me wrong. I always figured you'd end up with burnt edges or raw middle, especially with bone-in. Did you have to cut the shoulder down or just jam it in there? I've been scared to go past 8 pounds in my 8 quart, but now I'm thinking I should just go for it next time. Honestly, your result sounds like it worked way better than I'd expect, so maybe I was overthinking it.

Old timer at the hardware store saved me from a plumbing disaster

Wait, he wasn't even an employee there?
